Are you Tangled in the convoluted grips of reality? Well, don’t be Frozen in your gloom for too long: Just as Animal Crossing: New Horizons provided the escape people needed during the pandemic, Disney will soon invite fans to be its guest at a new free-to-play game, Disney Dreamlight Valley.
A life sim meets adventure game, Disney Dreamlight Valley is home to beloved Disney and Pixar characters—the crossover all fans need. Players will be able to construct and decorate houses and the village, as well as dress up in Disney-themed streetwear, Remy’s chef hat, gowns, and many other options.

And just like on Animal Crossing, they can also fish, farm, and cook.
However, there’s a dark twist: Dreamlight Valley is now a dismal picture, having been swept up in something called the ‘Forgetting’.
“Night Thorns grew across the land and severed the wonderful memories tied to this magical place. With nowhere else to go, the hopeless inhabitants of Dreamlight Valley retreated behind locked doors in the Dream Castle,” explains Disney. It’s now up to you to restore it to its glowing days.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is poised for its debut in 2023 as a free-to-play game, and will be playable on the PC, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
Disney fanatics can also opt for early access, which will entitle them to exclusive goodies transferrable to the official version, this summer with an Xbox Game Pass or by purchasing a founder’s pack.
