This Gucci Ring In 18K Gold Monitors Your Heart Rate & Sleep Health

Oura, the pioneer of the smart ring—an alternative health-focused wearable to smartwatches—has launched a special edition, 18-karat gold model in collaboration with Gucci in what could be a contender for the most fashion-forward smart device to date.

Elevating the original ring’s sleek, versatile design with a luxurious twist, the band features an unmistakable interlocking ‘G’ monogram synonymous with the fashion house, alongside a delicate, braided gold trim for extra flair. 

The Gucci x Oura Ring will come equipped with an Oura membership and all Gen3 features, including heart rate monitoring, activity tracking, temperature, sleep analysis, and more.

Michael Chapp, Oura’s Chief Operations Officer, said the brand had always believed that in this day and age, wearables can be both “innovative and stylish.” 

“As a health and wellness platform at our core, we recognize that what you wear also impacts how you feel. Oura’s ring form factor has consistently set us apart in biometric accuracy, comfort, and style, and with the Gucci x Oura Ring, we’ve brought fashion and function even closer together,” he explained.

Overall, the collaboration hopes to emphasize the theme of a “journey of self-discovery,” in reference to how personal health and wellness are more like a road trip instead of a particular destination.

As such, the launch’s accompanying film shows the protagonist flowing through her fast-paced daily routine, all along relying on insights from the Oura ring to keep her going.

The special release is now available for US$950 online and at select Gucci retail locations worldwide.
