Dior Sauvage, Fronted By Johnny Depp, Shot Up In Demand During Defamation Trial

While most of the world was glued to the court proceedings during the defamation trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, there was an unlikely entity which emerged triumphant: Dior.
According to WWD, which looked at data from Hey Discount, demand for the brand’s Sauvage fragrance, oh which Depp has been the face of since 2015, has increased in recent weeks. In fact, the rise is so staggering that Google searches for the perfume rose by 48% in a single month.
As Metro noted, TikTok views for the cologne had also soared by 63% during the same time period, especially as videos of the trial flooded the platform.
In terms of social media, Sauvage currently comes in second only to Maison Francis Kurkdijan’s acclaimed Baccarat Rouge 540 as the most popular fragrance online.
Who knew such a public dispute could smell like good news?
