Could Kanye West Be Building A ‘DONDA Car’ Out Of Foam?
We hardly bat an eyelash at Kanye West’s YEEZY Adidas foam sneakers anymore, but what about a DONDA Foam Car made out of the peculiar material?
Reports of the concept emerged this week when footwear designer Steven Smith was unveiled as the head of West’s new DONDA Industrial Design category, with Hypebeast releasing an image of the rumored car which showed a rough sketch of the vehicle’s side view.
Not much can be gleaned from the picture, apart from a caption that states: “DONDA foam vehicle conceptualized, design, manufactured in the United States. Amen.”
It certainly seems the rapper is looking to expand his empire into more sectors, with Input noting he recently branched out into sports with a high school athletics program.
Of course, West has a reputation for thinking up far-fetched projects only to ditch them later, so it’s unclear if the concept car will ever become a reality.
Nevertheless, compared to some other listings on a chart the mogul released in 2016—including cancer research, alternative energy sources, and web security—a vehicle made out of foam may not be the most challenging ambition yet.
