Heineken Creates Sneakers Filled With Beer, With A Can Opener To Boot
By Nicole Rodrigues, 03 Aug 2022

Us humans may not possess the ability to walk on water, but Heineken is giving us the chance to walk on beer instead. It has introduced ‘Heinekicks’ that are not only decked out in its signature colors but also have beer injected into the soles.
Heineken teamed up with creative agency Le Pub, advertising firm BBH Singapore, and Dominic Ciambrone—AKA ‘The Shoe Surgeon’—to give beer fans, and sneaker fans, the freshest kicks they’ll ever own, quite literally. The shoes were created in celebration of the launch of Heineken Silver.
Within the transparent soles of the footwear, Heineken Silver beer can be seen swirling around. The beverage was added using a special surgical injection into the sole. A tube around the top of the shoe also holds some of that famous golden liquid.
Now, while you can’t drink the beer, you certainly will be walking on a high in these shoes.

However, the craziness doesn’t stop there. Hidden on the tongue is a metal bottle opener for whenever you’re in a pinch and have left your trusty opener at home. This really is the shoe that just keeps on giving.
The sneaker is decked out in the brand’s iconic silver, green, and red, giving it that unmistakable Heineken flare.
Only 32 pairs in the world are being unleashed from August 11, starting in Singapore, where seven will be available. The initial pair will be on exhibit as part of the Project Future event at [email protected] in Singapore from August 10 until August 15.
