Hotel Pays Its Employees In Tattoos & Piercings To Spark Their Individuality

There are jobs that insist you cover up your tattoos and remove your piercings while on the clock, and there are some that will pay for you to get them.
The Ruby Hotel in Germany is one of those places. As a creative approach to attract prospective employees, the hotel is offering up €500 (US$511) to pay for a tattoo, piercing, or even a haircut for anyone who sticks it out at the job for longer than six months.
While the offer may be a scheme to rake in applicants, it is also a way for the hotel to attract like-minded individuals to the job. According to CNN, the company says that it is looking for people who “value character, soul, and individuality.”
The campaign was also created to enforce a working environment that celebrates the way each person chooses to express themselves. It creates a workplace that encourages one to be their truest self always, even at work.
So, has it worked? Yes, it has. Applications for the job have increased by 25% since the announcement was made, showing that a company embracing uniqueness was just what people were waiting for after the pandemic gravely changed the workforce.
The proposal will last for one year, during which current or recently hired employees will also be able to claim their own free tattoos, piercings, and haircuts.
