Nissan set a new course for its electric vehicle (EV) ambitions in China at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. The Japanese automaker unveiled four experimental cars, showcasing a focus on both pure electric and plug-in hybrid technology for the world’s largest car market.

The quartet consists of two electric vehicles (EVs)—the Epoch sedan and the Epic SUV – and two plug-in hybrids (PHEVs)—the Evo sedan and the Era SUV. Developed in conjunction with local partner Dong Feng, all four concepts embody Nissan’s ‘In China, for China’ strategy.

The Nissan Epoch Concept takes the wheel as an EV sedan designed for the urban and suburban go-getter. This concept features an AI-powered Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem and an emotion-reading virtual personal assistant, catering to the modern, connected lifestyle.

For adventurous city couples, the Nissan Epic Concept emerges as an EV SUV that doubles as a mobile power source, powering campsites, equipment, or even parties directly from your car. Onboard technologies further enhance the experience, fostering a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
