Apple Highlights Compelling ‘Shot On iPhone’ Images For World Photography Day

We’re way past it being an overstatement that you can take stunning photos from your smartphone alone. This is the go-to gear for many a traveler, who are now leaving their professional cameras at home for reasons beyond convenience.

With that, Apple believes the iPhone deserves a worthy mention on World Photography Day. According to Mashable, to commemorate this day on August 19, the tech giant revealed some of the best images so far that were shot on the iPhone by photographers around the world.

This year, Apple invited photographers to share pictures of their favorite places. Unsurprisingly, their picks are remarkable, proving how advanced the world of smartphone photography has become.
