Apple To Launch ‘Reality Pro’ As The First Of A Trio Of Headsets

Apple’s headset news has been rife with rumors over the last few years, but the end may finally be in sight. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has brought forward new promising leaks that show that Apple could be looking at a three-device lineup.

In his Power On newsletter, Gurman cites that the headgear has potentially been bestowed with the name ‘Reality Pro’. Just last month, Apple trademarked several names in different countries, and Reality Pro just so happened to be among one of the shortlisted.

The face-mounted devices are rumored to come in three variations. Gurman notes them as “N301,” “N602,” and “N421.” N301 will be the first iteration of the lineup to be announced and is slated to be the most advanced of the three, whereas N602 will be the second generation of Reality Pro that could come with a cheaper price tag and fewer features.

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in a report, the Reality Pros could be announced as early as January 2023. The devices are said to contain a host of features, including micro OLED screens, Wi-Fi 6E connection, and eye tracking, and will cost somewhere in the woods of US$3,000.

Gurman believes that the N421 could potentially be the long-awaited AR glasses. Though, he also believes we could still be a long way off from hearing any news about them.
