Nothing Redefines Earpieces With Futuristic ‘Ear Stick’ In Cylindrical Case
Last year, Nothing hit the tech scene with its semi-translucent noise-canceling earbuds. Since then, it has gone on to also release a phone. Its eye-catching minimalistic style sets it apart from the rest of the tech sphere, and its new ‘Ear Stick’ aims to do the same.
The earpiece is cased in a cylindrical white, red, and transparent casing. The Ear Stick is shaped similarly to the first-generation AirPods with an open earbud design.
However, with such a shape, noise loss is inevitable. Nothing has added 12.6mm, custom drivers to combat this to make the Ear Stick more rigid and prevent distortion at higher volumes.
Nothing also allows users to customize their sound preferences via a dedicated app available on iOS and Android.
The Ear Stick can last up to seven hours, while its charging case can store up to 22 hours of power. It also has an IP54 rating and will be splashproof and dust resistant.
With that in mind, the device is set to be priced at US$99, making it an affordable alternative to other earbuds on the market while still providing quality and innovation.
Just this week, Nothing announced the opening of its first physical store in Soho London. In celebration of the company’s new venture, the first 100 guests will be able to purchase a particular version of the Ear Stick.
Details are scant for now, but you can register your details on the website, and the company will get back to you with launch info.
