King-Sized Gaming Bed Takes Visual Effects To Next Level With Built-In 4K TV

UK furniture company Dreams’ bed is no ordinary bed. The innovative resting and gaming spot comes fully equipped with a flatscreen television. That’s right—the firm sees the pillow and duvet your dealer may have thrown in, and raises it one TV. 

The Drift Gaming Bed was inspired by those whose entire lives revolve around playing video games. It comes with a television screen measuring a standard 32 inches, but if you’re looking for something more luxe, you can opt for a 43-inch screen and 4K display. Then, once you’re done for the night, you can retract it away in its storage unit at the foot of the bed.

Up at the headboard are a headset holder, storage for consoles, and USB ports on each side of the frame.
 
There is also an ottoman storage space under the mattress to shove away your clothes, gaming gear, and emergency snack rations for those late-night Call of Duty shootouts.
 
Of course, as it is for gamers, it would not be complete without LED lights along the rim and headboard, which can be set to beam in either blue, green, or white.

As per a report from T3, Fabio Perrotta, Director of Buying at Dreams, says the company was inspired to create The Drift during the pandemic. The way people viewed video games wholly changed throughout the lockdown, as many turned to them for an escape.
 
The Drift comes in small double, double, and King, and prices begin at £1,799 (US$2,069.83) and can range up to £1,999 (US$2,293.30).
