Coors Light is placing the ability to tell when a beer is at the right temperature into the hands of its customers, literally.
The beer brand dives into the world of manicures with its latest addition, Chill Polish, a color-changing varnish that alerts its wearer their drink is chilled to perfection.
The nail lacquer initially starts as a slate gray, and turns into an icy blue when cooled, matching the evolving palette of the mountains on the beer cans, which also change from gray to blue at the optimal temperature.
Coors Light worked with professional nail varnish company LeChat Nails to create the thermochromic color.
The nail color is available on Coors Light’s website and retails for US$7, and will be released in batches every Tuesday at 10 a.m. until December 13. Fans can also enter a competition and stand to win the Chill Polish, a pint glass, and fingerless gloves.
