Huawei Squeezes Entire Wireless Earbuds Right Into Forthcoming Smartwatch

Wireless earbuds have inched into the norm, and little wonder. The convenience of not having to deal with tangled wires, along with noise-canceling technology, seems too good to pass up. 

However, even without the messy cords that accompany older headphones, most wireless earbuds still require you to carry around a charging case to juice up the gadget on the go.

Now, according to a new teaser unveiled by Chinese smartphone maker Huawei, charging cases could become a thing of the past, with the company showing what appears to be a smartwatch complete with earbuds nestled within it. 

According to Engadget, not much is known about the upcoming release as the company has delayed its winter launch event, though there are some clues available from the shot that could give us insight into how the device would work. 

Images obtained by Huawei Central show the earbuds attached to the underside of the smartwatch dial, sitting in the recesses of the timepiece while it’s closed, while a video from QSQTechnology suggests the buds could be tethered to the watch via magnets.

Overall, the watch design remains similar to the previous Watch GT series, and will reportedly run the brand’s HarmonyOS technology. Nothing spectacular leaps out about the design of the earbuds, though the convenience of having a two-in-one gadget will certainly draw in some users.
