Snuggle Up With Gandalf At The Official Hobbiton Airbnb In New Zealand
By Alexa Heah, 07 Dec 2022
To celebrate a decade since the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, fans of the film can now have a chance to stay in Middle-earth’s official Hobbiton just like Bilbo Baggins.
For the first time ever, the home featured in the original movie set will open its doors to guests, allowing them to “experience all the magic” that The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies have to offer.
Guests staying at the home will be brought behind the scenes to explore key elements of the franchise, including private access to the Hobbit Hole and an evening banquet in The Green Dragon Inn.
Overnight accommodation will take place in The Millhouse, a two-bedroom Hobbit-inspired house—complete with a writing nook perfect for Baggins—and home décor curated by the films’ creative director Brian Massey.
Bookings will open on December 14, available for three two-night stays on March 2 to March 4, March 9 to March 11, and March 16 to March 18, 2023 at just US$6.30 per night.
