Chatbots Could Soon Help You Negotiate For Lower Bills Against Other Robots
By Nicole Rodrigues, 16 Dec 2022
One cost-saving measure that companies often employ is outsourcing telephone services to either third-party vendors or chatbots. Although, when faced with a robot on the other line to handle your issues, it can often feel cumbersome. Perhaps the solution is to throw your chatbot into the ring.
DoNotPay, a legal services chatbot that touts itself as the first robot lawyer, aims to save your time by delivering a ChatGPT assistant as a worthy opponent against corporate robots.
You can relinquish control and leave your bot to aid you in conversing, instead of wasting time trying to negotiate with the other chatbot on the other end of the line.
Joshua Bowder, DoNotPay’s CEO, just released a demo video that showed a Comcast bill “negotiated 100% with AI and LLMs.”
Here it is! The first ever Comcast bill negotiated 100% with A.I and LLMs.

Our @DoNotPay ChatGPT bot talks to Comcast Chat to save one of our engineers $120 a year on their Internet bill.
Will be publicly available soon and work on online forms, chat and email. pic.twitter.com/eehdQ5OXrl
In the clip, it is seen conversing with the representative with a rather ruthless vigor, mentioning suing the company if the service issues are not resolved and threatening to leave if it does not get a better rate. Ultimately, it gets its point across pretty well and it even comes out triumphant with a new monthly plan that costs $10 cheaper.
The AI model opens the door to more flexibility and could be trained to be more knowledgeable on plans, vendors, and prices, which you might not know about.
The bot will be available to the public soon, where it can also assist in filling out forms online and writing emails.
