Electric AI Stroller Can Self-Drive Itself Around And Rock Your Baby To Sleep

Dealing with a toddler, diaper bag, endless bottles and snacks, and pushing a stroller on top of all of that can be an exhausting experience for parents on a day out. Glüxkind and its Ella AI stroller are here to save weary parents everywhere by being a self-driving baby buggy that allows for a hands-free experience.
Glüxkind is the brainchild of Anna Hunger and Kevin Huang, who started the company in 2020. The name means “lucky child” in German, but seeing the features Ella possesses, it might as well have been called “lucky parent” instead.
The stroller employs a similar technology to pedal-assistance electric bikes and has a dual motor system for going uphill and a brake assist function when walking downhill.
In order to make sure your little tyke is safe, it has a 360-degree “safety bubble,” which is made up of a multitude of sensors and cameras that can detect obstacles in its path and whether a parent has let go of Ella.
In a demo video from the company, when a parent let go of the stroller as they were heading downhill to pick up their kid’s toy, Ella immediately registered that the parents had moved away, and it stopped altogether.
The company suggests that the AI stroller is meant to be used as an extra pair of hands and eyes to lift the burden of going out with young children.
Ella can also drive itself around when a toddler prefers to walk or be carried by their parent. And for any worried parent reading this, it cannot push itself with a child in it.
What it can do, though, when the child is resting inside is rock itself back and forth to keep your baby fast asleep. It even has a white noise feature to keep your baby’s head up in the clouds.
Ella will only be ready for delivery in April of this year and will come at a relatively steep US$3,300. Interested parents can put in a deposit of US$200 to reserve one now.
