Apple Might Launch Long-Awaited AR/VR Headset Before WWDC

Last November, new job listings at Apple gave fans insight into the possible features its highly-anticipated mixed-reality headset may have. Now, more information has emerged, with insiders speculating ‘Reality Pro’ could launch this spring.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the technology giant currently plans to unveil the AR/VR gear during an event in the spring, before the company typically hosts its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June.
This timeline, which has faced several postponements along the way, could be to allow developers to familiarize themselves with the gadget’s xrOS operating system before it begins to ship out to users in the fall.
Apple is collaborating with several “high-profile developers” on applications and experiences for the forthcoming headset. Most of the firm’s resources have been channeled toward the new launch, which means no major changes for other products in its lineup are anticipated this year.
