California rolls, they’re undeniable. Fine, fresh, fierce, they got it on lock.
Let the good times roll with these ‘Sushi Sneakers’ ordered up by Menulog, a food delivery service operating in Australia and New Zealand. The provider is also offering up a year’s supply of sushi for fans who love sushi enough to make the dash for it.
The fresh, custom kicks have an unlikely muse that kind of makes sense: Katy Perry and her over-the-top styles that often involve food. The footwear is an extension of the star’s sushi dress in her Did Somebody Say campaign with Menulog.

The Sushi Sneakers are handcrafted by Melbourne-based shoe customizer Damian Sim, more commonly known as BespokeIND. They’re deliciously reminiscent of a salmon maki roll, being wrapped in textured seaweed-like leather, with a generous serving of ‘salmon’ and a convincing ‘rice’ center.
There’s also a pair of chopsticks, secured by fishtail loops, and an emergency pouch for soy sauce.

The design is strewn onto Nike’s classic Air Force 1s, sneakers Perry has been spotted in, according to the delivery platform.
Damian details that the entire foodwear was created from scratch, with the exception of the Nike midsole.
To be able to indulge in this feast for the eyes, fans will have to play the new Menulog Run game that’s available as a lens on TikTok. Accordingly, the game was launched to help players pass time while they wait for their meals. It will be available through February 1.
Players will take on the role of a delivery courier as they collect food along their paths and actively dodge trash cans. They will then need to upload their recording to stand a chance to score one of three limited-edition pairs prepared for the campaign, which was produced by communications agency Connecting Plots.
The cherry on top (to emulate Katy Perry) for winners is the year’s supply of free sushi.
