Modern Racing Simulator Blends In Seamlessly With The Rest Of Your Furniture

It’s true that most people might not own a full-blown racing simulator in their houses, nor might they have the space to have one. And let’s be honest, most rigs look a little unsightly against wallpapered walls and clean, angled modern furniture. But the idea of having one could send some gamers and racers hearts ablaze.
So for those out there wondering if racing sims will ever be a fashionable statement in the house, that day is here… kind of.
Studio Casti, an award-winning design firm founded by Paolo Casti in 2015, has found a way to marry form with function to give gamers and aspiring racecar drivers a stylish option for their living room.
The ‘DrivePod’ sim houses a display within a champagne-colored rounded-edged frame with its F1 steering wheel post sticking out from a sleek column. The structure hides all the wires, plugs, and other hardware that usually comes with a rig and keeps them within its shiny shell.
The frame is attached to a blue driver’s seat, which sits on two rails that allow the chair to be slid back and forth for the user to get in and out of the simulator.
Studio Casti also understands that any wannabe driver needs their rig to feel as accurate as possible. So with that, the DrivePod boasts a hydraulic pedal set, a race bucket seat, a real six-point harness, and a removable steering wheel. It’s as close to racing around in an F1 car in your living room as you can get while also keeping in theme with the aesthetic choices in your home.
The DrivePod was designed to be as customizable as possible, allowing each customer to outfit the rig to blend seamlessly into their homes.
That said, your dreams of crossing the finish line in style might still be far off as the DrivePod remains a concept, and only digital renders are available.
