New Digital Software Lets You Cast, Create Humanlike Models For Your Campaigns

Creating an advertising campaign can often eat up a lot of resources, time, and effort. As a result, companies sometimes cannot afford to dedicate all of that to marketing, where money and time can be placed into other areas. However, what if there was a way to produce the perfect creative with a shoestring budget?
ColorDigital, a company from Germany, is bringing forward two new platforms—DMIx StudioAvatars and DMIx 3D-Studio—that place performance and control with synthetic humans into the hands of users.
Starting with StudioAvatars, the platform allows brands to design their perfect virtual model to represent the company. The tedious process of scouting for models can now be whittled down to creating one from scratch instead.
That being said, ColorDigital is not aiming to strip away work from real-life models in the industry. On the contrary, it understands how difficult it can be to break into the fashion world and has developed its new system as an aid to models, as well. Human talents can upload full-body scans of themselves to the system and license the use of their images to brands, enabling them to reach a wider audience and potentially spread their name in the sector.
Next is the 3D-Studio, a virtual workroom where people can adjust focal length, angle, lights, and background. Users can turn materials and colors into photorealistic characters and exchange items while collaborating with other groups.
Ultimately, the new systems simplify end-to-end workflows and even promote a more sustainable outlook on campaign production as they remove the need for physical samples and travel.
“With the DMIx 3D-Studio, we are not only making a complex workflow easy—we are also laying the groundwork for an automated pipeline to create e-commerce ready images for various online retailers,” states CEO and Co-Founder Gerd Willschütz.
