Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Scans Your Body In-Store So You Can Find What Fits Best

Shopping for clothes as a woman can be one of the hardest things to do. Many often run into sizes that are not accurate to their tags and are left with ill-fitting clothes, especially lingerie. However, Rihanna might be altering that.
At the Savage X Fenty store in Atlanta, Georgia, customers can now get their bodies scanned for the perfect outfit. The new ‘Fit Xperience’ shopping assistant will be in fitting rooms where shoppers can use them in total privacy.
Savage X Fenty brought the project together after it teamed up with Intel and the digital twin platform, FIT:MATCH, to deliver this new shopping experience to life.
In order to begin a session, customers will have to sign in on the panel. From there, the FIT:MATCH will conjure up an avatar that resembles the individual’s body shape. It then will pull up a series of items from the brand’s catalog that it deems the best fitting. And to ensure each person’s safety, FIT:MATCH states that it will not store any images or videos.
Rihanna’s growing Fenty brand has often had a hand in promoting inclusivity in the beauty and fashion worlds. With this new venture, the company is giving shopping a unique experience that could potentially empower women.
