Midjourney AI Image Generator Launches Its Very Own Print Magazine

For US$4 per month, fans will soon be able to enjoy a monthly print magazine from the popular artificial intelligence (AI) image generator Midjourney. Each month, the eponymously-titled publication will feature images from among the top 10,000 rated pictures on its site.

According to the firm, interviews with top content creators and enthusiasts will feature alongside the images, though it did not comment on if the articles would be written by human or AI journalists. 

“We’re launching a monthly Midjourney magazine! Every issue has interviews, breathtaking images, and of course, prompts. Join us in celebrating our community’s creativity, imagination, and the increasing manifestation of the human mind,” the company tweeted.

As Gizmodo pointed out, it remains to be seen if anyone will shell out for a compilation of images that can be freely accessed online. The pull could very much be in the fact that Midjourney will include varying text prompts in the magazine to inspire users’ future creations.

The tool in itself hasn’t been met with an entirely favorable response in recent months, with its creator admitting that a “hundred million” unauthorized pictures were fed to the generator’s database without the consent of the respective copyright owners.
