Picsart Unleashes AI Avatar Pet Tool For The Pawfect Shot, Sans The Fuss

Posing your furball in a regular setting, let alone in a less familiar environment like the park or beach, can prove to be impawssible. At the same time, there’s that guilt of putting Fifi in an uncomfortable costume for self-amusement.
But breaking mews—you can now dress your pet to the nines and capture it in an instant, with the help of artificial intelligence. Picsart has rolled out an ‘Avatar Pets’ feature that lets you create fantastical portraits of your cat or dog as an astronaut, a good (cow)boy, the king or queen it has always been, and anything else you can imagine.
Previously, the image creation and editing app introduced AI Avatars, then doubled it and brought in Avatar Couples. Now, it allows pet parents to complete the family, and finally find a use for the stream of photos they have of their fluffy companions.
The Avatar Pets feature can be found on the Picsart apps for iOS and Android, under the ‘AI Tools’ section. To start, you’ll need to upload 10 to 20 snapshots of your pet, purr-referably depicting it in different poses and angles. This enables the AI to dream up portraits in a variety of styles.
The avatars will take several minutes to generate. After which, fur parents can customize the results using in-app editing tools.
You’ll need credits—available in packs of 50, 100, and 200—to prompt these images, but to put things into perspective, it’ll still be far cheaper (not to mention more practical) than sending your dalmatian to the moon.
