Netflix Dresses Up Lacoste’s Crocodile In Mashup Clothing For Popular TV Shows

Netflix’s freshest face is over 90 years old. The streaming giant has cast the Lacoste crocodile to star in a surprising apparel collection that blends fashion with pop culture.
The Lacoste x Netflix Collection weaves the iconic animal into genderless clothing channeling elements of eight fan-favorite shows: Stranger Things, Bridgerton, Lupin, Money Heist, The Witcher, Sex Education, Shadow & Bone, and Elite. Each series was chosen for the diversity of its audiences, bringing something to the table for everyone from adrenaline seekers to fiction aficionados and romance lovers.
“We think products can be a powerful medium for storytelling, and partnering with Lacoste presents a unique opportunity to blend the worlds of fashion and entertainment,” explains Josh Simon, VP of Consumer Products at Netflix.
The Lacoste crocodile crawls into polos, sweatshirts, tracksuits, caps, and more, and it even dresses up in show-appropriate gear like a true fan.
In a Stranger Things tribute, Lacoste’s crocodile bears the face of the Demogorgon. Meanwhile, in a world far away from the dismal Upside Down, the mascot is a regal figure, donning an oversized wig à la Queen Charlotte of Bridgerton. The Sex Education merchandise, on the other hand, places the crocodile on a bicycle and presumably pictures it riding to school.
Other pieces imagine a toile de Jouy-style print featuring the reptile as it interacts with Netflix motifs.
Lacoste’s deputy CEO Catherine Spindler commends the “unique encounter between our two worlds and two global references of creativity and innovation,” adding that both Netflix and Lacoste share “an unparalleled power to bring together communities from all walks of life.”
The delightful co-branded selection will be retail at select Lacoste stores and on Lacoste.com and Netflix.shop beginning April 12, while supplies last. Prices range from US$30 to US$210.
