‘Halloween’ Film Gets Board Game Adaptation Where Players Become Michael Myers

Fans of John Carpenter’s Halloween (1978) can now take on the role of Michael Myers in the film’s first-ever board game adaptation. The 1 vs Many game will be produced by Trick or Treat Studios and designed by Emerson Matsuuchi and Nathan Thomas Milliner.
While one person parades around as the psycho killer, others in the game will portray the role of Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode and other characters in the movie by finding weapons, the kids, and escape paths to get to safety.

Interestingly, the game maker revealed that it isn’t likely that survivors easily gather the required resources and escape the killer’s advances, considering The Shape can only be seen when players are looking directly at him.
The board game features recognizable locations in the movie, including rooms from the Doyle, Wallace, Strode, and Myers houses. In fact, designer Milliner said he repeatedly rewatched Halloween to ensure the game board's art was as faithful as possible.
Halloween by Trick or Treat Studios is available for pre-order here for US$59.95.
