The art of turning text into images is losing its sheen. No-code website builders are now the latest to be swept up by the generative artificial intelligence movement.
A web design tool called Dora has introduced a transformative AI-powered creator that can generate polished websites from single text prompts.
The AI builder is still undergoing alpha testing, but if its introductory video is anything to go by, those without coding experience won’t even have to bother scrolling through a bunch of templates to kickstart the site creation process.
Dora AI can seeminglydeliver dynamic, 3D designs from simple phrases like “design a website for SpaceX starship.” Following this, you can direct revisions with more text prompts, such as “replace with 3D model,” and even deploy your website using natural language.
“By combining the brilliance of generative AI with intuitive no-code tools, we hope to empower every team and individual with unlimited design flexibility, beyond technical and learning barriers,” explains Dora’s design lead Faye Zheng.
The tool can generate 3D assets and animations, according to its creators. It also promises to cut down hours of manual labor by automating the animation process; you click on an object and adjust its effects from there.
The team avows that the generator can enhance pages to the point of them rivaling “even the renowned Apple landing page.” Only time will tell if this claim holds up.
