This LG Touchscreen TV Literally Comes In A Briefcase To Be Hauled Anywhere

Previously, LG released the StanbyME, a 27-inch television that wasn’t meant to be mounted onto a wall like regular sets but instead stood upright attached to a base with concealed wheels. The rotating display could be moved around the home for up to three hours for remote viewing.
Now, the electronics company has upped the ante with the StanbyME Go; and this time, the television set is more portable than ever. Literally hidden within a briefcase, the device is designed to be brought on the go, be it to an outdoor event, picnic, or campsite.
Using a similar 1080p 27-inch display, the touchscreen television can be rotated horizontally for movies, titled vertically for TikTok binges, or laid flat to be used as a giant tablet. The device comes with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos-compatible 20W speakers for surround sound.
Aside from just watching programs, LG posits the StanbyME Go can be used as a virtual board game set, act as a digital record player complete with a spinning LP, or even function as a computer display with all the streaming sites one could want.
Unfortunately, similar to its predecessor, the on-the-go television set can only last for up to three hours without being connected to a charger. That’s not much viewing time when out and about, especially if there isn’t a power supply nearby.
Nonetheless, the interesting concept will be available from June 7, 2023, at an estimated price of US$886. At the moment, it will only be sold in Korea, though it’s probable the company will eventually distribute it globally, too.
