Adobe Rolls Out Firefly To Enterprises To Generate Content Using Own Branding

It was only months back when AI art-generating was this precious activity shared between a close-knit community. Now, there are a whole slew of tools accessible to the public, and it’s just about overturned the creative world. Adobe is playing a significant role in democratizing this technology with Firefly, its AI art generator that promises to protect the interests of human creators.
After introducing the tech to Photoshop with the new ‘Generative Fill’ feature, the company is now rolling out Firefly’s capabilities to the ones who might need them most: businesses.
Adobe Firefly for Enterprise will enable business users to train their version of Firefly using their own branded assets and communications system via APIs, creating images and copy unique to their voice and identity using simple text prompts.
They’ll also be able to extend images, perform inpainting (that is, shading into areas to add, remove, or remove objects), and combine photos.
Businesses will be able to harness Firefly’s AI tools most conveniently through Adobe’s all-in-one content design platform, Adobe Express (formerly Adobe Spark), where they can generate images and text effects to add enliven their social media posts, posters, banners, PDFs, and more.
Further, employees in various roles and departments can collaborate on the same artwork and build upon it via Creative Cloud’s Photoshop and Illustrator, Express, and Experience Manager, all of which have Firefly capabilities.
Firefly’s spark comes from the fact that its entire training set is drawn from Adobe Stock assets, public-domain images, and openly-licensed content, making every aspect from start to finish copyright-risk-free. This strength will be much-appreciated by enterprises, who will need to create content for commercial applications.
With that, Adobe also claims to be the “most differentiated generative AI solution” for enterprises because it delivers “commercially viable, professional quality content at speed.”
Adobe says “hundreds” of brands are already experimenting with Firefly for Enterprise in hopes to keep up with growing demands.
“Enterprise leaders expect content demands will increase by five-fold over the next two years, making it imperative for them to drive efficiencies internally,” explains David Wadhwani, president of Digital Media Business at Adobe, in a press release.
“This new enterprise offering empowers users of any skill level to instantly turn ideas into content with Firefly, while tapping into the power of Express and Creative Cloud to quickly modify assets and deliver standout designs.”
Firefly is now available in Adobe Express for Enterprise. The full-fat Adobe Firefly for Enterprise offering, on the other hand, will roll out in the second half of 2023 following a beta trial.
