A farmer, a pumpkin, and the iPhone 14 Plus’ long battery life take center stage in Apple’s latest Relax, Its iPhone advertisement.
The spot, Tractor, features a farmer riding his tractor down a long desert highway with a giant pumpkin strapped to the back. There are no buildings, no people, no life for miles ahead—just him and the open road.
Up front, the protagonist has his iPhone guiding him down the one-way path. Playing over the clip is an earworm tune of Ludacris’ Two Miles an Hour as the farmer drives at practically that speed.
Somewhere along the way, Siri tells him he still has 102 miles to go, a nod back to the device’s battery life. The camera pans out as we see how long the road stretches into the mountain range ahead.
The simple commercial gets its point across effectively, leaving you with the knowledge of how the smartphone’s battery can last you about the length of a desert highway and Ludacris’ voice stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
Earlier this week, the company showcased its iPhone 14 Pro camera capabilities with a short film centered around a monster piñata wreaking havoc on Mexico and the luchador that was called in to save the day. The video shows you that with its camera, you might even forget you’re watching something shot on an iPhone.
And in Tractor, it’s telling you to relax, as you can forget to charge your phone.
