Spotify & Calm Join Hands To Bring Free Mindfulness And Sleep Content

Relax, take it easy; the best things in life happen to be free. Spotify and leading mindfulness app Calm have partnered up to exhale some goodness into the streaming platform, and a lot of it comes at no extra cost.
“One of the challenges of practicing mindfulness is finding time for it amid the many demands of day-to-day life,” shares Calm in a blog post. So it thought, why not make these habits more accessible during people’s personal time, such as when they’re on the commute?
“That’s why we’ve teamed up with Spotify to make some of our best content conveniently available in the Spotify podcast catalog,” it adds. Calm’s entrance is part of Spotify’s Open Access initiative that lets brands share their premium content on the app.

You can now access some of Calm’s most popular Sleep Stories, meditations and mindfulness exercises right in Spotify.

The tie-in includes four playlists that listeners can tap into for free, without subscribing to an additional app. These include Calm for Sleep, which features ‘Sleep Stories’ narrated by the soothing voices of Harry Styles, P!nk, and more; and Calm for Stress & Anxiety, which consists of “easy, effective meditations” and breathing exercises to help the mind and body decompress in minutes.
The other free-to-play programs are Calm for Beginners, where Spotify subscribers can tune into Calm’s most popular starter course and turn to quick three-to-five-minute guided meditations; and Calm for Meditation, which contains meditations and breathing practices facilitated by expert instructors.

In total, the pair has introduced 11 curated Calm programs, all aimed at boosting mental well-being and helping listeners nurture mindful habits, lower stress and anxiety, and enjoy quality sleep. You can access them all here.
