People are finding love—or, rather, lust—in a human-less place.
From falling heads over heels for cars to ghosts, it comes as no surprise that humans are now going googly-eyed over the supple, artificial skin of virtual personalities, a species that has grown rapidly in recent months thanks to the rise of generative artificial intelligence.
As discovered by Futurism, thirst traps posted under the personas of fully artificially-generated influencers have been making their rounds online, which clearly means there’s a demographic for them.
Among these skimpily-dressed characters is a “19-year-old virtual girl” named ‘Milla Sofia’, who is almost exclusively dressed in bikinis and lingerie.
Another personality, ‘Deanna Ritter’, is described as the female “fictional expression” of her creator, who brought her to life “using photo-editing software.”
‘Lunai’, a fake model with a Korean alias, is often spotted in athleisure and cosplay.
There are many, many others like these “virtual girls” who literally live and breathe social media. And that’s evolution for you. It wasn’t that long ago when a social media influencer created a chatbot double to rent out as a “virtual girlfriend.”
Almost all of them wear just enough to cover their sensitive bits, perpetuating the objectification that women face daily.
On a similar note, one Japanese adult magazine has gone there and cast an AI-generated model to pose in provocative photos.
