At its recent Unpacked event, Samsung unveiled its fifth generation of Galaxy foldables—introducing the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5.

One standout feature of the all-new smartphones is the new Flex Hinge, which makes the foldable experience possible while maintaining an aesthetically balanced and sturdy design.

In addition, the Galaxy Z series comes with upgraded camera capabilities, including the innovative FlexCam that allows users to take photos from creative angles.

Equipped with the latest processor, these devices are designed to transform the smartphone experience, be it while left open or closed.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is particularly notable for its stylish and pocket-sized design that encourages self-expression. The new Flex Window is now 3.78 times larger than its predecessor, offering an even wider range of capabilities and customization options.

Users can choose from informative and graphical clocks that match the face design of their Galaxy Watch 6 series, including the option of adding stylish frames.

Moreover, the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s Flipsuit Case adds an element of personalization with a changeable NFC card, allowing users to match their Flex Window and case design.

When shut, the smartphone still proves highly usable, providing easy access to useful information through the updated Flex Window.

Users can check the weather, control music playback, listen to their favorite music, and stay updated on global stock market updates with the Google Finance widget.

There’s more that the larger Flex Window offers. For example, users can now capture high-quality selfies using the rear camera, which allows for hands-free photography from creative angles.

Plus, Flex Mode 10 facilitates easy review and editing of shots, while the Dual Preview 11 feature enables users to see themselves in the Flex Window while taking a photo, ensuring the perfect shot.

To enhance the camera experience, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is incorporating artificial intelligence into photography, bringing pictures to life in low-light conditions.

The improved Nightography capabilities optimize photos and videos in ambient lighting, correcting visual noise and enhancing details and color tone.

With its latest Galaxy foldables, Samsung continues to push the boundaries of smartphone technology. Head here for more details on the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which is available for pre-order from US$999.99.
