Müller Yogurt & Desserts, in collaboration with creative agency VCCP London, is making a triumphant return of a fan-favorite from the ‘90s with the relaunch of Müller Corner Mississippi Mud Pie Inspired. The new campaign aims to capitalize on nostalgia and attract both loyal long-time fans and a fresh Gen Z audience.

The decision to bring back the Mississippi Mud Pie Inspired flavor comes after years of passionate fan requests. People have expressed their desire for the return of this retro treat through various channels, from government petitions to community groups on social media, and even direct contact with Müller.

Now, their prayers have been answered, and Müller is reviving the iconic flavor, adding it to their lineup of Müller Corner Originals.

At the core of the campaign lies a creative and innovative approach that taps into a ‘90s craze—the Magic Eye optical illusions. The phenomenon captivated the world with trippy 3D images, which was baffling to many.

Müller and VCCP worked closely with the originators in Boston, Massachusetts, to design an authentic Magic Eye Illusion that reveals the Mississippi Mud Pie Inspired flavor. The puzzle adds an element of surprise and excitement, making the launch even more anticipated.

To unveil the long-awaited summer reveal, social media films set to the tune of retro favorite Renegade Master by A.D.O.R vs. Britni Fraser will air across social media.

Additionally, out-of-home and fly posters will be strategically placed near nostalgic concerts and high-footfall shopping areas. The fly posters will tease fans with hidden clues within the Magic Eye puzzles, building excitement for the flavor’s return. Later, the second set of posters will be released to announce the product’s long-awaited return.

“From fashion, footwear, and summer film releases, to Insta filters and TikTok trends, 90s aesthetics are having a moment,” explained Toby Bevans, strategy and marketing director at Müller Yogurt & Desserts.

“Consumer research told us there was massive potential in dialing into our own 90s heritage by bringing back one of our most-loved and sorely missed flavors—Müller Corner Mississippi Mud Pie Inspired. So now all those superfans who’ve been petitioning us for its return can at last get a taste of that 90s icon.”
