Roger Federer & JW Anderson Become Doubles Partners With Stylish Uniqlo Line
By Nicole Rodrigues, 02 Aug 2023
Tennis legend Roger Federer is serving a new collection with Uniqlo consisting of contemporary everyday outfits crafted alongside Irish designer JW Anderson.
Despite Federer being off the court for a year now, the collection is still dedicated to his athletic background. Along with JW Anderson’s (you might recognize his work from the viral pigeon clutch) vision, it aims to provide fans with outfits that can instantly take them from a grueling tennis match to a breeze brunch.
The collection will consist of nine genderless pieces featuring polos, sweaters, shorts, parkas, and a sports bag. The color scheme includes a timeless black, white, grey, and blue palette.
Standout pieces include a color-blocked blue and black crewneck sweater, a zipped fleece jacket, and a white tracksuit adorned with navy, green, and white piping details. The apparel is also made from Uniqlo’s Dry Ex material to keep its wearer feeling fresh and comfortable throughout the day.
According to WWD, Federer expressed his excitement and delight in creating a collection that effortlessly transitions between tennis and daily life. He praised Anderson’s talent and creativity, confident that their collaboration would produce a line of clothing that resonates with fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.
The collection will hit shelves and Uniqlo’s online store on August 28, with prices ranging between US$39.90 and US$89.90.
