Samsung Designs Laundry Appliances That Cater To Pet Parents
According to Samsung, almost three-quarters of American households have a furry friend as part of their family. Unfortunately, despite how many homes have pets running around, not many appliances are made to accommodate them as well. The tech giant’s latest line of laundry products is casting a light on the often-forgotten four-legged family member and updating its devices to make the lives of both pets and pawrents easier.
The new Smart Top Load Washer with Pet Care Solution employs dynamic water currents and dual pet hair filters to remove pet hair and reduce odors from your clothes after a day out in the backyard playing fetch or after an evening walk at the dog park.
An Active WaterJet faucet aids in scrubbing and pretreating heavily soiled items like dirty pet beds and blankets, which the washer’s extra-large 5.4 cu. ft. capacity drum can handle with ease.
Complementing the washer is the Dryer with Pet Care. It features a dynamic tumbling algorithm and a Steam Sanitize+ setting to remove odors, pollen, and wrinkles from fabrics. Both appliances offer Wi-Fi connectivity for remote control through the SmartThings app, and come in a Brushed Navy and White colorway.
The Smart Top Load Washer with Pet Care Solution is priced at US$1,149, while the Smart Dryer with Pet Care Dry comes in both Electric and Gas models for US$1,149 and US$1,249, respectively.
