Adobe Express, the company’s free, AI-powered, all-in-one creation and editing app, is now ready for general availability on the web version for desktops, with Firefly AI integration. The update brings the ability to craft images, videos, social media posts, PDFs, logos, flyers, and more to a wider audience of all skill levels, essentially democratizing the creative process for all.
Commanding a great deal of attention on the app is the Firefly AI tool, which enables users to swiftly generate custom images and text effects using text prompts in over 100 languages. Notably, the generated content is designed to be safe for commercial use, since the machine is trained on public-domain and openly-licensed imagery, as well as Adobe Stock assets.
With Adobe Firefly access, users can turn text into images and dream up text effects. Note that since the tool is still in beta, results generated from the platform can’t be used commercially at the moment.
The new all-in-one editor also allows the crafting of design elements, engaging videos, dynamic PDFs, animations, and captivating content tailored for various social channels like Instagram and TikTok—with a collection of over 200 million assets to select from, including design templates, images, video, and audio assets.
Other features include quick actions like background removal in images and videos, audio-driven character animation, GIF conversion, PDF editing, as well as real-time co-editing between collaborators.
Adobe Express also syncs seamlessly with fellow Creative Cloud apps, so users can easily access and edit creative assets from Photoshop and Illustrator directly within the online tool.
Animation effects like ‘Fade In’, ‘Pop’, ‘Flicker’, and ‘Bungee’ lend a dynamic edge to text, images, videos, and other assets, breathing life into content. The addition of Animate from Audio, powered by Adobe Character Animator, adds an exciting dimension as characters respond to recorded dialogue with synchronized gestures and lip movements.
Adobe says that the free-to-use Express platform is being used by millions of users globally, and desktop web support will make content creation even more of a breeze for more.
