One of the most iconic features of a soccer pitch is the center circle, where all matches begin with the kickoff. Now, with many still reeling from the excitement of the Women’s World Cup finals, London-based charity Breast Cancer Now wants to spotlight another battle worth winning.
On the day of the highly-anticipated game, the organization released a witty tactical advertisement, which looks like a regular soccer pitch at first glance. But peer closer, and one will spot a slightly discolored and out-of-shape portion at the bottom left of the circle.
When you’re not cheering on the Lionesses today, spend some time getting to know your normal. Touch your breasts...
The succinct and poignant spot, created in partnership with creative agency BMB, was paired with the caption: “If everyone regularly checks for a change in the color, texture, or feel of their breasts and gets to know their normal, we could help beat breast cancer too.”
Featuring in print and digital forms on social media platforms, the Sunday Telegraph, The Mail on Sunday, and at major subway stations throughout the capital, viewers were immediately reminded to conduct a check on themselves to look out for any abnormalities.
