Ferrari Unleashes $20K ‘Endurance’ Book Housed In A Hardy Carbon-Fiber Case
By Nicole Rodrigues, 25 Aug 2023
In an ode to its legendary endurance racing heritage, the Italian marque unveils its Ferrari Endurance book to take superfans on a riveting expedition through decades of triumphs and challenges on the racetrack.
This literary homage arrives in a carbon fiber case as a physical embodiment of Ferrari’s precision and performance ethos. The brainchild of creative director Joel Berg, the case mirrors the same material utilized in Ferrari’s hypercars. Its design pays a subtle tribute to the iconic NACA duct, reminiscent of the one adorning the side of the Ferrari 512 BB.
An exclusive foreword penned by chairman John Elkann is inside the carbon-fiber treasure chest, which details the inner sanctum of Ferrari’s legacy.
At the heart of Ferrari Endurance are 312 pages of archival treasures. The book traverses Ferrari’s endurance racing saga from 1972 to now. Each page echoes with the roar of engines and the grit of racers, chronicling moments that have etched themselves into the annals of motorsport history.
This tome isn’t just about cars; it’s also a homage to the endurance legends, the racers who pushed the limits, and the iconic cars that bore the prancing horse emblem into battle. For example, Luigi Chinetti’s triumph in the 1949 24 Hours of Le Mans with the 166 MM Barchetta is a symbolic moment in Ferrari’s racing history.
But Ferrari Endurance looks not just at the past; it also gives a glimpse into the present with images of the 499P during its inaugural race in the WEC 2023.
For Ferrari fans who wish to own a piece of the marque’s history, there’s a catch—it’s limited to a mere 99 copies, each priced at EUR€19,000 (approximately US$20,600). Inquiries about its availability can be directed to Ferrari’s website.
