H&M is branching out from trousers to tables. Under its iconic H&M Home line, the retailer is introducing its distinctive furniture and lamps collection to the US after a successful debut in Europe in 2018. The interior statement pieces are designed in-house and suited for small spaces—and as with the garments sold by the fashion giant, they’re meant to be friendly on the wallet.
The range encompasses enduring classic styles—featuring side tables, chairs, shelving, stools, lamps, and mirrors envisioned to “stand the test of taste and time”—along with versatile seasonal pieces for both minimalists and maximalists alike, children’s furniture and lighting. A mix of styles and materials goes into the collection, from contemporary metallic and steel designs to nature-inspired shapes utilizing FSC-certified wood, straw, and even rice paper.

Led by a need for self-expression, the array touts a spectrum of contrasting materials, such as a rattan dining chair, a solid asymmetric mango wood side table, and a neutral yet striking coffee table available in brown or black. A large asymmetrical mirror offers an elegant touch to most settings.

As for lighting, shoppers may be drawn to items like modern lacquered metal designs and a sharp triangular lamp like moths to a flame.
