‘Super Mario’ Joins Baskin Robbins For Powered-Up Ice Cream Adventures

Fans in Japan gearing up for the release of Super Mario Bros Wonder in October can soon cool their fervor for the upcoming launch with a new collection of Baskin Robbins ice cream.
Meant to help foodies “power up” in real life, the video game has collaborated with the ice cream maker on over half a dozen limited-edition offerings, ranging from floats to sodas, dessert cups, and more.
The standout of the bunch is undoubtedly the Super Star Sundae, which comes with its very own green pipe. Customers can pick a small-sized ice cream flavor to be presented within the plastic holder, which can then be reused as a pen holder after it’s been washed.
Situated on the top of the pipe is a dollop of whipped cream with a Super Star and Brick Block chocolate, together with Mario punching a Question Mark Block as often seen in-game.
If ice cream doesn’t hit the spot, there’s the Ice Flower Soda—a jelly beverage served up in a cup adorned with ice flowers. The drink, filled with yogurt-flavored jelly and coconut gel, can be mixed with a scoop of ice cream to be enjoyed with a specially decorated muddler spoon.
Other exciting dishes include the Super Mushroom Cola Float combining vanilla ice cream with cola sorbet, the 1 Up Mushroom—Melon Soda that merges white crackling candy and melon soda sorbet, and the Super Mario Double Cup, which comes with the choice of red, yellow, or green.
Thinking of taking some home? Customers can opt for the Yoshi’s Egg Set, which comprises eight small-sized ice cream flavors packaged in eggs the character is known to hatch out of. There’s even the Super Mario Variety Box that offers up either small or regular-sized ice creams wrapped up in an exclusive design.
Last but not least, one can sink teeth into the Super Mario Palette 6, a special ice-cream cake that comes with six different flavors of ice cream adorned with Mario-themed chocolates presented in a giant gold Question Mark box.
