L’Oréal Paris is giving out kisses of creativity all around with an oversized lipstick that’s truly painting the town red.
To pucker up attention for its new Infallible Matte Resistance liquid lipstick, the brand has created a too-good-to-be-true CGI animation featuring a giant version of the product riding on the back of a car, creating a pigmented trail as it glides down the road.
While the hyperrealistic stunt is the result of video magic, if it were real, the vibrant streak would have probably adhered to the asphalt all day—the liquid lipstick promises up to 16 hours of wear, and is transfer- and smudge-resistant. The ultimate test of resilience could be if the trail had held up against the friction of car tires.
The “infallible” lip product, available in 12 shades, also promises “bold color payoff in one swipe,” which is what is portrayed in the social media campaign.
The larger-than-life lipstick is the latest CGI beauty behemoth to leave rouge-lined mouths agape. Months back, L’Oréal-owned Maybelline challenged belief when it imagined a giant mascara wand brushed onto the “lashes” of buses and trains.
