Samsung has just introduced its latest offering, the Neo QLED 8K TV( its biggest to date), and it stands at a substantial 98-inch class model known as the ‘QN990C.
This television distinguishes itself by incorporating Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor, a potent component that leverages AI-driven algorithms to upscale content to the impressive realm of 8K resolution.
Regarding visual performance, it relies on a full array local dimming (FALD) mini-LED backlight system complemented by quantum dots. This amalgamation delivers a broad spectrum of colors, boasting over a billion variations, alongside high-contrast capabilities, bolstered by support for HDR10+.
Further enhancing the visual experience is the 8K AI depth enhancer, which enhances the lighting surrounding objects, thereby contributing to both optical quality and energy efficiency.
From an aesthetic standpoint, the TV boasts a sophisticated all-metal design. It arrives with a Slim Fit Wall Mount, simplifying the installation process. At the same time, the anti-glare screen makes it suitable for well-lit environments while offering a wide viewing angle.
It arrives accompanied by Samsung’s innovative solar-cell remote, which reduces the need for frequent battery replacements. Additionally, the TV incorporates an attachable Slim One Connect box, a thoughtful inclusion that simplifies connecting HDMI and other essential interfaces, preserving an uncluttered setup.
For the gaming community, the QN990C offers a gaming-friendly feature set. All four HDMI 2.1 ports are equipped to handle various gaming requirements, including 8K at 60Hz, 4K at 120Hz, variable refresh rate (VRR), and auto low-latency mode (ALLM).
The QN990C comes with a tag of US$40,000, and it is up for purchase on Samsung’s site.
