Polestar, the Swedish automaker known for its electric vehicles, recently unveiled an intriguing electric vehicle (EV) concept known as Synergyat the prestigious 2023 IAA Mobility event in Munich. This concept is the brainchild of three designers: Devashish Deshmukh, Yingxiang Liand, and Swapnil Desai, marking the first time in the Polestar Design Contest’s history that multiple designs have converged into one.
The Polestar Design Contest attracted over 600 entries worldwide, with participants tasked to craft a Polestar vehicle that seamlessly blends performance with sustainability. The winning trio amalgamated their distinctive designs into the Synergy concept.
This futuristic marvel boasts an impressive stature, standing tall at approximately 3.5 feet and extending gracefully to about 15 feet in length. Inside, it welcomes passengers with a wide glass display and a sleek steering yoke, promising an immersive driving experience.
Now, while the Synergy is destined to remain a concept car, it will be hitting some tracks soon enough—toy car tracks, to be exact. Alongside a partnership with Mattel, the two will turn the vehicle into Hot Wheels and Matchbox collectibles.
They will also showcase a 1:1 scale model of Synergy at the Hot Wheels Legends Tour in California this coming October.
Currently, the Synergy concept takes center stage at the IAA 2023 event in Munich. Further plans include a world tour, offering a broader audience the chance to admire this cutting-edge creation. While there’s no official confirmation regarding the spec work’s production for the market, it’s worth noting that Polestar has previously translated captivating concepts into reality.
