Google Celebrates 25th Birthday With Mini Totes Steeped In Old-School Branding

Google’s 25th birthday is off to a colorful start—specifically in red, yellow, green, and blue. After surprising technophiles with charming themed wallpapers, the tech giant has even more gifts up its sleeve.
As spotted by 9to5Google, the company is doling out mini tote bags embroidered with the old serif Google! logo. Cranking up the throwback factor, the carry-alls are each hued in one of Google’s brand colors.
The tote options are distributed at random, which means you’ll either get a blue, green, yellow, or red one.

Even more endearing is what the teeny-tiny bags are for—they’re designed especially for your Pixel phone. If you don’t own anything from the Google lineup, you would be glad to know that the canvas swag comes free with any purchase of Pixel products, while supplies last.

On that note, Google is also discounting its gadgets to commemorate its 25th anniversary through September 23. This includes US$250 savings off the Pixel 7 Pro (available on Amazon and Best Buy), US$150 off the Pixel 7 (Amazon, Best Buy), and a US$100 price reduction for the Pixel 6a (Best Buy).
Since some of the best things in life come free, Google has also unleashed more birthday wallpapers to bring more color to your smartphone at no cost. Among the Easter eggs depicted in the artwork are the Chrome dinosaur and googol (10 to the power of 100).
