For years, the Lofi Girl has propelled productivity-seekers to leggo their anxieties and other distractions while they work or study. Now, she’s here to accompany fans at play too. As part of a collaboration with The LEGO Group, the famed YouTube channel has given the character a makeover that places her in a world of toy bricks.
The girl’s LEGO self first appeared on the usual stream on Tuesday, but she eventually shed off her plastic shell and returned to her regular form.
As for the toy version, it now lives on in a new mix of “chill beats for LEGO building,” which plays for about 1.5 hours.
The video features a looped animation of the girl glancing at her work and then peering out of her window with her cat.

All this is to sync up to a design challenge launched by LEGO Ideas, in which builders are asked to recreate places they “like to escape to and relax while building and listening to music.”
“We want to see those spots, featuring the iconic Lofi Girl character. Real or make-believe!” LEGO prompts.
The challenge, which is accepting submissions until October 17, will see a Grand Prize Winner walk away with sets modeled after a Jazz Quartet, a Fender Stratocaster guitar, a Grand Piano, and a Jazz Club. They will also take home a plush collection inspired by the Lofi Girl.
Despite her calming aura and chill hip-hop beats that aim to facilitate concentration, the Lofi Girl has elicited some excitement, and even panic, between listeners in the past. Earlier this year, she momentarily went missing, only to return with a new friend, Synthwave Boy.
If this musical mashup between the Lofi Girl channel and LEGO is kind of your jam, you might be glad to know that the toymaker itself has released a couple of relaxing ASMR playlists composed with plastic bricks. There’s a White Noise playlist, which features over three hours of sounds of LEGO pieces being poured and clicked together. There’s also a Green Noise playlist, with bricks mimicking insect flutters and sounds.
