TASCHEN is turning the page on modesty and embracing the human form in all its glory with its Body Parts Series. This adults-only collection spans six volumes, each dedicated to a different aspect of bodily beauty.

The compilations—comprising The Big Book of Breasts, The Bigger Book of Breasts, The Big Butt Book, The Big Book of Legs, The Big Book of Pussy, and The Big Penis Book—aim to celebrate the natural, skin-baring wonders that have fascinated cultures worldwide.

When The Big Book of Breasts hit the shelves in 2006, it quickly became a bestseller, with its pages filled with naturally endowed nude models from the golden decades of the 50s to the 70s, featuring the likes of Joan Brinkman and Virginia Bell. As it seemed, readers wanted more substance than just photographs; they lusted after stories, backgrounds, and a deeper connection to these women—a personal peek into the lives behind the curves.

The newly-published Bigger Book of Breasts answers to this desire. Not only does this edition introduce new photographs, but it also dives into personal profiles of each model, satisfying the reader’s curiosity. The celebration of bountiful beauty doesn’t stop at the past; the book also spotlights 12 modern-day models who are redefining the aesthetic of ample bosoms—from Nadine Jansen to Hitomi Tanaka—photographed by Berlin’s Bernd Daktari Lorenz.

But why stop at breasts? Offering tit for tat are documentations of other body parts that captivate attention. The Big Penis Book, for one, delves into the historical and cultural fascination with size, featuring a collection of over 400 photos, including snapshots of the infamous John Holmes.

The Big Book of Legs walks readers through the first burlesque shows to the nylon obsession of the 40s, and the 60s leg magazines. Meanwhile, The Big Book of Pussy strips away the stigma to celebrate the vagina through photographs spanning a century, paired with narratives that trace its complex cultural history.

Rounding out the collection, literally, is The Big Butt Book, with a diverse array of female derrières, paired with candid interviews and contemporary models.

These photography books—captured through a lens that is historical, cheeky, and bold—are an extensive study in cultural beauty standards, a nod to the liberation of the sexual revolution, and a testament to the diversity of human anatomy.
