Mattel wants you to deck your halls with chairs and drawers—flat-packed into cards with a special UNO deck crafted for aficionados of interior design and art.

UNO x Kartell unites the renowned designs of the furniture company—and most especially its Componibili storage unit, created by Anna Castelli Ferrieri—with the popular card game.

In this creative mashup, a special deck of UNO cards takes center stage, showcasing Kartell’s most beloved products in lieu of traditional numbers.

From the iconic Louis Ghost chair to the innovative Battery lamp, practical Mobil drawers, and the captivating Bookworm bookcase, these cards celebrate Kartell’s design legacy. Meanwhile, the brand’s drawers find their home on the back of the designs and on the packaging.

A true Wild Card in the mix spotlights the recognizable Attila gnome, among others.

Surprisingly, the deck finds an upstanding counterpart in a UNO-inspired Componibili unit. This stylish modular storage product features hole-grip doors adorned in UNO’s signature colors: red, yellow, green, and blue, set against a pristine white body. Nodding to this marriage of art, design, and play, the distinctive container also graces the UNO x Kartell deck in the form of a Wild Card.

“The Mattel Creations collaboration with Kartell brings together the magic of design and play,” explains Kim Culmone, senior vice president and head of design at Mattel. “The special-edition Componibili and UNO playing cards are more than just collectibles; they’re a celebration of creativity and style, and we’re thrilled to expand our offerings into the interior design space with Kartell.”

Lorenza Luti, Kartell’s director of marketing and retail, adds, “The Kartell lifestyle extends to collaborations that reveal affinities with our own creative and stylistic mindset. This collaboration is a natural evolution in the cross-pollination of ideas between the most iconic products of both brands.”

Luti elaborates: “Kartell’s Componibili adopts the traditional colors of UNO playing cards, while Mattel’s UNO cards feature our best-known products. This project with Mattel Creations not only signifies an artistic collaboration but also provides an extraordinary gaming opportunity for design aficionados.”

The UNO x Kartell deck will be available for purchase on Mattel Creations, while a rare batch of UNO Componibili will be sold on the Kartell website and selected stores worldwide, this November 16.
