Former US President Donald Trump has gone from unveiling decorations at the White House to selling Christmas-themed merchandise featuring his mugshot.
Centered around the theme ‘Never Surrender’, the pieces showcase Trump’s infamous police photograph across wrapping paper (priced at US$35)—where the former POTUS’s mugshot is adorned with a Santa Claus hat—and a stocking (US$25).

Another gift wrap style depicts Trump with a raised fist, intertwined with the “Make America Great Again” slogan.

This merch rollout follows Trump’s August arrest on felony charges related to the 2020 presidential election. In the wake of his booking, Trump’s campaign saw a surge in fundraising, pulling in US$7.1 million through sales of T-shirts, posters, bumper stickers, and beverage coolers, per Politico (via the Independent). The Friday after his arrest marked a record-breaking US$4.8 million in sales—the highest for a single day recorded by his campaign.
In time for the holidays, Trump’s campaign is making his mugshot relevant again.
But for diehards looking for a jolly good time and not a reminder of Trump’s jail time, the line includes a brass ornament (US$67) inscribed with “America First.”

There are also holiday variations of the MAGA baseball caps, embellished in red and green and decorated with Christmas lights. Sold at US$50 each, these hats have “2024” embroidered on them as a nod to Trump’s campaign run.

Some items like the wrapping paper and Christmas ornament are being offered as “free gifts” to customers who make donations exceeding the items’ prices. According to the Trump campaign, proceeds will go to his political endeavors, including his Save America joint fundraising committee and the Donald J Trump for President 2024 campaign.
