Tesla’s Cybertruck has had its fair share of hiccups and headlines, and now it’s finally rolling onto the roads. But it’s not arriving alone; the carmaker is introducing a range of accessories to accompany the futuristic pickup, and one of them is just as unconventional as the truck itself.
Among these accessories are a series of wraps, the Cybertruck BaseCamp, and a tailgate ramp. But what you need to hear about most is the Cybertruck OMFG Decal, which pokes fun at one of the most infamous moments in automotive history.

Driving in reverse gear for a bit, at the Cybertruck’s initial unveiling, Tesla’s chief designer Franz von Holzhausen aimed to demonstrate the vehicle’s durability by throwing a steel ball at its “indestructible” windows. The stunt backfired spectacularly when the glass shattered, and an unforgettable meme was born.
Tesla is now embracing the mishap with a sense of humor, offering a decal that’ll make your freshly-minted Cybertruck look like it’s seen better days. Priced at US$55, this decal is intended for window application, allowing Cybertruck owners to add a touch of irony to their vehicles.
In a seeming tongue-in-cheek callback to the original incident, von Holzhausen reenacted the moment at the Cybertruck launch event, this time hurling a baseball at the vehicle.
As Tesla designers spent the past years fussing over the pickup’s design, it’s likely the windows won’t crack as easily as they did back in 2019. But we reckon it could still happen if you want it hard enough. Maybe you’ll save yourself US$55.
