As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary on July 4, 2026, America250, a nonpartisan organization, is gearing up for what it aspires to be the most inclusive commemoration in the country’s history. Partnering with the reputed design firm Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv (C&G&H), America250 has unveiled a dynamic branding to mark a historic milestone for a nation that’s carved its own identity after its forefathers signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

The centerpiece of this identity is a ribbon-themed logo, which weaves together the colors of red, white, and blue into the shape of ‘250’. This continuous, flowing ribbon represents unity, cooperation, and harmony, tying together the nation’s diverse stories and experiences.

The logo’s fluid design is complemented by the name “America” in elegant serif typography, creating a cohesive and striking visual symbol.

C&G&H is no stranger to such significant national projects; it also crafted the symbol for the US Bicentennial in 1976.

An America’s Invitation campaign has already kicked off, engaging citizens in sharing their personal reflections of what America signifies to them through stories, songs, poems, images, and videos. This initiative is just the beginning of a series of events, campaigns, and collaborations leading up to the 250th anniversary.
